Hey everyone! I don't think I ever posted before, but I'll do my
best in reporting the several sightings I had last summer. I was
travelling in Europe with 30 fellow adolescents on a three week
program. One of my good friends, 'L', actually got the hiccups
several times on the program and several times since. L is a bit on
the heavy side. When she gets the hiccups, they're about 5-7 seconds
apart and hard but usually silent. All I can hear is the nasal
sound. Also on this trip was a very pretty friend of mine who got
the hiccups while we were touring London. I could've died; this girl
is one of those types that you'd love to see get the hiccups. She's
really skinny and has a very italian look to her. She's also got a
long, curving neck. Needless to say, that was the focal point of the
experience. They were silent and not all that strong, but seeing her
neck cave in as it did was plenty for me. I saw her hiccup about two
dozen times. My last European hiccup encounter was while the bunch
of us were riding the bus from Germany to the Netherlands. I had
hooked up (briefly) with this girl, 'A'. We were sitting together on
the bus and she was kind of leaning against me dozing. This girl is
cute and has a little puppy fat on the sides. So anyways, she opens
her eyes and says, "O no..". I'm like, "What's the matter?" (I
actually didnt feel or see the starter one). She says those great
words: "I've got the hic-cups. HIICK!" and with that she was off.
We're talking rapid, hard single hics. And since she was leaning
against me, I got to feel them as well as listen and watch. She
really did not like these, and she began to complain. They lasted
about 20 or 30 minutes. I was so shocked that I didnt even think
about asking to rub her belly for her. grrr! o well.... Another
small "sighting" of sorts: When we went to Covent Garden in London,
I managed to give myself a small case of the hiccups, but they lasted
for only about 5 minutes or so. Still, I was happy since it was the
first time I gave them to myself in public. Just small silent ones
mostly.

Well, that's my trip to Europe! I swear there must be some truth in
those "travelling hiccups" that you guys been talking about. I'm
going to Australia this summer with 42 other people, so hopefully
last year's luck will play itself out again. Hope you've enjoyed my
posting!
